Theodore Craig

Theodore Craig (94) of New Canaan, Ct departed this life on October 15, 2015. He was born January 18, 1921 to the late Ned and Ida (Patton) Craig of Meridian, MS. He was predeceased by his wife (Hilda) of over 63 years, his son, James Harold, his sisters: Christine, Jeanetta, Charlotte, Laura, Rebecca and brothers: Lloyd, Leroy, Thomas and Levi. He is survived by his sisters: Flora Butler (Rev. Ben) of Chicago, IL, Ida Craig-Durham of Meridian, MS, sister-in-law Rosetta Young of Philadelphia, MS and his sons: Theodore Craig, Jr. (Phyllis) of Stamford, CT, Timothy Craig (Maria) of New Canaan, CT and daughters: Shirley Gibb of Charlotte, NC, Mary Craig of New Canaan, CT and Jacqueline Becton of Accokeek, MD. Also, he leaves to cherish his memories are his grandchildren: Jeffrey and Courtney Craig of Stamford, CT; Richard Gibb (Ayshia) of Emeryville, CA; Jheryl Parson-Mason (John) of Temple Hills, MD; James W. Preston, II of Laurel, MD; Daniela and Matthew Craig of New Canaan, CT and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Craig was a World War II veteran in the United States Army stationed in New Guinea, South Pacific and received an Honorable Discharge. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Community Baptist Church, 174 Cherry Street in New Canaan, CT, greeting of guest at 10:30, service from 11:00-12:00 followed by a brief gravesite Military of Honors Ceremony at Lake View Cemetery, 352 Main St. in New Canaan, CT.
