He was born on March 17, 1942 in Peru, South America. He came to the USA in 1961. He retired from Clairol in 2002 where he worked for 35 years.
He was very passionate about his family, grandchildren and gardening. He also loved to travel and he adored his family pets. He was a very active member of the Hispanic community. He was one of the founders of the Nacional Soccer Club and also volunteered his gardening skills with his local church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children- Anna and husband Daniel Farina of Southbury, CT, Patrick and wife Traci Castro of Monroe, CT, Nancy and husband William Novoa of Norwalk, CT and Lourdez Castro of Norwalk, CT and grandchildren LisaMarie, Daniel Jr, Raenah Marie Farina, Alexandra and Jason Castro, Jessie and Hunter Novoa. He is also survived by his three brothers, Gonzalo, Juan and Francisco and his three sisters, Sara Herr, Lucrecia Castro, and Lucia Valverde and several nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.
He will be remembered for his warmth, fortitude, gracious spirit, and devotion to his family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday(TODAY) June 12, 2012 from 4-8 pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St Stamford, CT. A mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. Mary Church 566 Elm Street Stamford, CT.
