Michael W. Scully

Born in New York City and raised in Pelham, New York, he was the son of James and Patricia Scully. He graduated from Iona College with a degree in Accounting and started his own successful tax practice, Peak Financial Management Company in Stamford, Connecticut.

His greatest accomplishment and joy were his children, Ashley, 30, Brieanne, 28, and Mikayla, 8. He took great pride in the successes of his children, including Ashley’s graduation from his alma mater, Iona College, and subsequent master’s degree, and Brieanne’s graduation from law school and admission to the New York State Bar as an attorney. He cherished the time spent with his youngest daughter, Mikayla. They enjoyed church on the weekend, father daughter dances, the beach, the park and tickle fights.

He will be remembered for his powerful presence and intellect. He always knew what to do and could instill a sense of ease in any situation. He was proud of his beliefs and his Irish Catholic upbringing. He will be remembered for his adoration and everlasting love for his children.

He is survived by three children, Ashley, Brieanne and Mikayla, a 95 year old mother, Patricia Scully, three sisters, Patricia Mayle, Deborah Cordrey, and Mary Scully, two nieces, Jenna Cordrey and Brielle Mayle, and a nephew, Captain Richard Mayle, Jr., who is currently stationed in Germany. He was predeceased by his father, James Scully Jr., and his older brother, Jimmy Scully.

A private memorial service will be celebrated at The Basilica of Saint John The Evangelist located at 279 Atlantic Street, Stamford, CT. Interment to follow at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery located at 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY.
