She was a proud graduate of the University of Vermont earning her B.A. in 1967 and went on to earn her M.B.A. from Iona College.
Laura loved her life, her family and friends. Until she became ill in 2024, she had hardly suffered any illnesses and often stated she had never even had a cold. Laura loved to travel with her longtime friends and was especially fond of lighthouse destinations. She maintained daily contact with her friend Maria Russo with whom she worked with at Synops.
Laura was kind to all whom she had contact with so much so that it is hard to imagine anyone not appreciating her warmth and caring nature which led her long term involvement with the Society for Humanistic Judaism and the Jewish Community Center of Stamford. She was the type of person who never said a bad word about anyone. Throughout her lifetime she practiced charity for many worthy causes.
