Henri Cowic

Henri R. Cowic (Hank), 86, of Shelton, CT formally of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 8th surrounded by family members. Hank was a United States Navy veteran and went on to work for the Southern New England Telephone Company for 33 years. When not spending time with his family, he could be found on the golf course, fishing or tooling around in his work shop.

Hank is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Betty Cowic, three children, Brian Cowic, his wife Debbie, Robert Cowic, his wife Kathy and Meredith Genovese and her husband Anthony as well as six grandchildren, Kelly, her husband Chris, Peter, Megan, Matthew, Nicole and A.J. Hank will be remembered for his infectious laugh and unwavering love for his family. He will be greatly missed by all.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13th, 2016 at 11:00 am at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien, CT.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Connecticut.
