Born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, the daughter of Albertha Powell (deceased). She retired from Omega Engineering in Stamford.
Doreen enjoyed going on trips, cooking, reading, watching The Mets baseball games, and being with her family. She was a generous, kind, and a positive person. She saw the good in others, always encouraging others to plan, save, think positively, and pray.
Doreen was the “rock” of her family and is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Lloyd Johnson, children Oswald (Tony), Patricia, daughter-in-law Maruca, son-in-law Ken respectively, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother Mando James, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 9:00am - 10:30am, followed by the Service at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer St. Stamford, CT 06905. Internment at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien, CT.
