February 20, 2012—The McGraw-Hill family fondly remembers the life of Donald S. Rubin, Senior Vice President, Investor Relations. He will be profoundly missed by thousands of colleagues for his wisdom, integrity and wit during his exceptional 52-year career with the corporation. Don personified all that is best in human nature and in McGraw-Hill; he was selfless in his support for others, unswerving in seeking truth, and original, genuine and inspiring. Don began his career as a sports writer, reporter and magazine editor before serving in executive positions at McGraw-Hill. At home, he and wife Nancy treasured the cultural scene in New York City and enjoyed playing tennis. His McGraw-Hill colleagues in the U.S. and around the world express their deepest sympathy to Nancy and his family, including children Alexander (Karolann) and Laura, and grandchildren James, Logan and Isabella. A private family service will be held in Stamford, CT and a memorial will be held at a later date. Donations in Don’s memory can be made to the New York Public Library.
