Born in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of Frank H. and Alethea Koupal Schneider. She graduated from University of Vermont with a degree in education. She then ran the records department at Lonestar Industries, and later worked for Lord & Taylor after retirement.
She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Stamford, where she was a Deacon. She was an avid world traveler, loved to read and enjoyed history. She was an active member of the Stamford Woman’s Club where she was on the scholarship committee, and ran the book club, amongst other activities. She will be remembered for her love of crossword puzzles, regularly mastering the New York Times crossword puzzles in the daily newspaper.
She is survived by her 4 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 sisters-in-law, cousins, and many lifelong friends whom she considered family. She was predeceased by her father and mother, and brothers, Frank H. and Edward.
A graveside memorial service and interment will take place at a later date at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford, where she will be laid to rest next to her parents.
