Anthony (Tony) Carlucci, also known to many as Randy, 89, a lifelong Stamford resident, entered into eternal rest on March 31, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.He was born on November 27, 1922, son of Leo and Margaret Telesco Carlucci. He was a devoted husband to Millie Fusco Carlucci and a loving father to Marguerite Carlucci Giaquinto , Jenny Carlucci McLaughlin and Angela Carlucci , and to his sons-in-law, Gene Giaquinto and Chris McLaughlin. He was predeceased by his brothers Peter, Dominick and Canio and by his sister, Angela Carlucci Ippolito . He is survived by his sister-in-law, Nancy Carlucci, his cousin, Rose Galucci and Dominick Telesco and by his many nieces and nephews. Tony was a decorated WWII Veteran, who served with the 601st tank destroyer battalion, third division, and was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for meritorious service. He also served as a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Augustine Council 41, 4th degree, for 65 years. He and his brothers owned and operated Carlucci Bros. Inc., an excavating firm for over 30 years. Tony enjoyed traveling with Millie to Italy and meeting up with his Army buddies at reunions throughout the United States. He was a gregarious fellow, who enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Tony was a deeply religious man who was a lifetime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. He was a man who loved life and was passionate about gardening and volunteering for the Disabled Veterans.
