William R Schroeder

William "Bill" R. Schroeder, 89 of Midland, VA passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Brookside Rehab and Nursing Center in Warrenton, VA. His funeral service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel at 1:00pm, with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Internment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park. Bill was born November 11, 1928 in Flora, IL. He was the son of William A. Schroeder and Ulrica H. Schroeder. Bill is survived by his wife of over 70 years marriage, Lois E. Schroeder, two daughters, Lynn C. Dulaney, Susan G. Lemoine, a son Kelvin L. Schroeder, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. After retirement of over 17 years working for Halliburton Services as a truck driver and dispatcher, Bill self trained and successfully created "Schroeder Upholstery" serving custom upholstery needs in Flora and Decatur, IL. During this tenor he taught upholstery courses thru Frontier Community College. He trained and passed this upholstery heritage to his son Kelvin. B ill loved old time gospel music and serving Jesus and sang in a gospel quartet called "The Mansion Heirs", which was local to Flora, IL. Bill is greatly missed by his family and friends and will always be loved and remembered.
