He is survived by his daughter, Amy Marshall and husband, Mark; two sons, Stewart Hulick and Scotty Hulick and wife, Kim; two grandchildren, Amanda and Adam Marshall; step mother, Veronica Hulick; two brothers, Jerry Hulick and wife, Linda and Mike McKillips and wife Tracy; two sisters, Maggie Croghan and husband Brian and Anne Crumbo and husband, Jack; Brother-in-Law, Boggs Wright and wife, Susan, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Nita.
Scott was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Ray and Eileen Hulick. He graduated from Eastern New Mexico University and received his Master’s in Public Administration from George Washington University. He lived with his family for many years in Burke, Va. before retiring to Fredericksburg.
Scott was a Certified Facilities Manager and worked for the Federal Government until retiring in 1996. He then implemented the Facilities Management Certificate Program at George Mason University, where he taught until 2005. He was passionate about his profession and truly enjoyed working with the program and students at GMU.
He was a dedicated husband, father and Gramps, spending many years advocating and caring for his wife. He was exceedingly proud of his family and loved to brag about them to friends and colleagues.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Antioch United Methodist Church, with inurnment to follow in the church cemetery.
