Linda was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Hutchinson; and her parents Donald and Ruth Patton.
She is survived by one son Brian Hutchinson and his wife Sarah, one grandson Forrest Bear Hutchinson; three sisters Peggy Beavers and her husband Jimmy, Donna Marders and her husband Allen, and Cheryl and her husband David; one nephew Brandon Frazier; and one niece Becky Beavers.
She was born and raised in Hartwood VA, by Donald and Ruth Patton.
She was a graduate of Stafford High School 1974. She received a Drafting Scholarship and was the only female who graduated to receive a scholarship.
Sue attended Germanna Community College to receive a degree in Drafting, but she met and fell in love with a man named Ron.
Sue married Sgt. Ronald Hutchinson December 22, 1977. Ron was serving in the United States Marine Corps. They were soon transferred to Cherry Point, NC. While stationed in NC, Sue volunteered and cared for abused children that were taken from abusive parents. Sue was very dedicated in helping these children as they needed Tender Loving Care.
Sue and Ron adopted an infant son in 1980. They named him Brian Michael Hutchinson.
Ron retired from the USMC in 1983. Upon retirement Sue and Ron returned to Hartwood, VA.
Sue worked as a Sales Clerk at Clark Brothers Gun Shop – Red Shed for more than 15 years.
She was a very talented, gifted and creative person. She decorated cakes to be used for special occasions. She was very artistic making flower arrangements, quilts, etc., she could decorate any room in your whole house. Her thoughtfulness to others was also a special gift.
Sue was a very giving person and would do anything she could to help others. She was a loyal friend, she respected everyone and a compassionate person.
The Visitation will be held from 6:00p.m to 8:00p.m., Wednesday April 26 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home, Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA.
A service will be held at 11:30a.m., Thursday April 27 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Following the service, a reception will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, Hartwood, VA.
