Sadly our beautiful daughter, Tici passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024 at home. She was our very own wonder woman who had to fight every day for 14 years as a result of injuries sustained from being the victim of shaken baby syndrome at just shy of 7 weeks old! Our girl was not expected to survive at the time but God had other plans and blessed us with fourteen and a half beautiful but trying years. She had to endure so much over the years (countless procedures, surgeries, severe epilepsy, and way too many ICU admissions, etc.) But, Tici fought through every illness and obstacle with grace and made it look easy though it was surely anything but that!
Laticia was pure love and light, to know her was to love her!
Her passing has left us utterly heartbroken and we will forever miss her deeply.
Tici loved going on trips, especially to visiting Disney and becoming a princess. She enjoyed swimming at the beach or a pool, listening to some good music, and traveling to all the different states she got to go to. Our girl had an eye for fashion and a heart of solid gold! She loved and grew close to her nurses who all became family and all of her friends she’s made into extended family.
Laticia is survived by her devoted and loving parents, Jessica and Trevor; her grandparents, Susan and Marcus; the best little brother ever, Theodore; as well as her remaining immediate family, maternal and paternal, extended family (home nurses, doctors, etc.) and so many friends.
All who knew and loved our beautiful Tici are welcome. For now we just ask for love and prayers and remind you all that she would want us to remember her as her happy, silly, joyful self as well as to treat each other well with kindness and patience.
In lieu of flowers please consider giving to one of the following as these are all the organizations who’ve gotten us through Laticia’s journey:
