During her lifetime she worked for several financial business, the last being BB&T. In Joy’s free time she loved to swim in her pool and spend time with family and friends. Joy will be remembered with so much love and wishes that her time wasn’t so short.
Joy was predeceased by her parents: Frank & Gloria Bland and her brother: Eugene Bland.
Joy is survived by her husband: Russell Raines, Jr.; her son: Edward R. Raines; grandson: Michael Raines; great granddaughter: Sadie Raines; siblings: Nancy McKeithan, Wayne Bland and David Bland. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Services, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA 22554 on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Joy’s funeral service will be held at Ramoth Baptist Church, 478 Ramoth Church Road, Stafford, VA 22554 on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gordon Raines, Dana Bryant, Josh Roberson, Jamie Roberson, James McKeithan and Chad McKeithan.
