Jody Dewayne Carter, a resident of Stafford County died unexpectedly on December 13, 2015 at his home. He is survived by his Mother Nancy; son Kole; Life Partner Teresa; Aunt and Uncle Sandie & Steve; and Nephew, Lee. Jody was born on May 27th 1971 in Newport RI. to Nancy Killebrew and Billy Carter. He graduated from Manassas High School in 1989. After high school, he spent many years traveling with a carnival, bringing joy and laughter to families everywhere. He then worked with his Uncle Steve building houses for a few years. For the past decade, he has worked at the “610 Lowe's.” Jody was into all things Lowe's, including Jimmie Johnson's racing career. He was also an active and committed member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Gentle Giant is the best way to remember Jody. He was a loving and caring person. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house.. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, devoted dog Morgan, and all who knew him. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on December 19 at Mullins &Thompson Funeral Service at 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA. 22554.
