Jenny was born in Houston, TX and joined the United States Air Force following high school. She held a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration since 2011. She enjoyed life with her friends and family and loved deeply with all of her being. She was a faithful wife, devoted mother, dutiful disciple of Christ, energetic Houston Texans and University of Houston sports fan, and an unwaveringly patriotic American. She took the time to find the light in everyone she knew and always sought opportunities to enjoy life’s tender moments with family, friends, and puppy videos.
She is survived by her father, Thomas (Ed) McCann; step-mother, Elizabeth McCann; brother, Micheal McCann; step-brother, Justin Haveman; step-sister, Sarah Harvey; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; her husband, John Russell; and her most cherished accomplishment, her son, Blake Russell.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Rangel; grandfathers, Carl P. McCann and Henry O. Wilson; and her grandmother, Mary J. McCann.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on October 31, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 10:30a.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
It was Jenny’s wish that all military members attending do so in their service uniform.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society.
