Jane Alice Smith

Jane Alice Brooks Laudenslager Smith passed away peacefully at her home the morning of Saturday, October 11, 2014. Jane was preceded in death by a brother, Uly T. Brooks, Jr., her mother, Clara M. Brooks and her father, Uly T. Brooks, Sr.

Jane is survived by her husband, Larry Smith, her two sons, Paul T. Laudenslager and his wife, Susan, of Spotsylvania and Jeffery L. Laudenslager and his wife, Jennifer, of Stafford, Larry W. Smith and his wife, Renee, and John Smith and his wife, Meagan. She is also survived by her grand-children, Sandra Laudenslager, Corbin Laudenslager, Lynn Malpass, Christina Testerman, Bridgette Smith, Jacob Smith, Rebecca Smith, Sabrina Smith, Courtney Smith, Julia Vito, and Michael Vito. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jane was a 1962 graduate of Stafford High School. She attended Shenandoah College. Jane was employed as an administrative assistant for the U.S. Government for many years and transferred to the electrical shop in Quantico where she ran the tool room prior to her retirement.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home, Shelton Shop Road, Stafford. The funeral will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Aquia Church. A luncheon will be held at Widewater Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department immediately following the services.
