Douglas O. Beach of Spotsylvania, formerly of Stafford County passed away July 22nd at age 74 after a long battle of varies health issues.

Douglas is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pamela Beach, his daughter Amanda Elrod, her husband Phillip, Daughter In Law Karen Beach, Grandchildren Ryan Beach, Alexis Elrod and Cooper Elrod.

He is preceded in death by his son Christopher Beach, his sister Jane Reichley, His mother Mamie Beach and father Oliver Beach

Douglas grew up in Springfield, Va and later moved to Stafford in the late 70’s to raise his family. He worked for Vulcan Materials Company, where he retired after 40 years. He was an avid hunter and loved gardening and working outdoors.

Family will welcome friends at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service in Fredericksburg on Thursday July 26th from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A graveside service will be held Friday July 27th at Sumerduck Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to either the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
