Dee credits “Life” as her primary source of education after attending Stafford High School. She woke up happy every day, had an incredible sense of humor and embraced life to the fullest. Dee never met a stranger and all were welcomed to her home. She could be as tough as nails and opinioned when she needed to be.
She dearly loved her family, took pride and pleasure in their life accomplishments and gave comfort in times of difficulty and challenge. Much like her mother, Jeanette, Christmas was her favorite time of year and she loved to decorate her home and revel in the wonder. When she was able, she would help with the decorations at “Cooperville” and took delight in the joy that it brought to her family and others, especially the children. She also loved participating in her niece Renee’s Halloween Barn and was proud to be part of it the year Renee won the Halloween contest on Good Morning America.
Dee was charitable to a fault, always willing to offer help to people in need of assistance without thought or question. Her passions came from the simple things in life including her home, nature, long walks, flowers, gardening, relaxing at her cottage on the lake and playing cards with family and friends. Everyone that knew her liked her and she liked everyone. Her warm smile and open heart were her greatest assets. She left this world a better place.
A celebration of life will take place for family and friends. She will be sorely missed but will live in our hearts forever.
