Brett Davis Overstreet of Stafford Virginia, peacefully passed away at his home on November 7, 2018, after a long battle with cancer with his wife, caregiver, and soul mate, Kathi Overstreet, by his side. Brett was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and graduated from Edison High School. He is survived by his mother Faye Overstreet Johnson, and preceded in death by fathers James Davis Overstreet and Robert W. Johnson. Brett was the youngest of his siblings, to include, sister Kelly Sims, brother Brian Overstreet and wife Kristin Overstreet, Michelle Bell, and Donna Kellum. He is survived by his beloved children: Brittney Simons, Justice Wieters, Dustin Overstreet, Chris Thompson, Tressie and Katrina Lamouroux. Brett was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and grand-mother Helen Moffett of Colonial Beach, Virginia.
Brett celebrated life and family no matter how much pain he endured. He loved the New Orleans Saints and Louisianna State University football; playing golf, NASCAR, outdoor activities; and most of all, spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30pm on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford.
