Penny Kay Springer, 68, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. She was born on January 7, 1950 to Doyle "D.P." & Winnie Bell Morton and raised in Sugar Land, TX where she called home until moving to Needville, TX in 2006.
Penny graduated Dulles High School in 1968 with honors and spent many hours, while in high school, working for her parents at the well known Palms Theater in Sugar Land.
In 1969, Penny began her career at Nalco Chemical Company where she worked for nearly 28 years. After leaving Nalco, Penny took time to care for her elderly parents up till their passing. She then went to work at Den-Bar's Hallmark from 2006 to 2015.
As a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Penny always put her family first. She enjoyed traveling (especially to Florida), relaxing outdoors and spending time with her family and friends, but nothing made her happier than having fun and making wonderful memories with her granddaughter.
Penny is survived by her husband, Jack C. Springer, Jr. of Needville; daughter & son-in-law Jill (Adler) & Wayne Alvarado of Forney, TX and granddaughter Haley Alvarado aka "Grammy's sweet baby"; sister Bonnie (Jim) Hanson; nieces Tamara (Stew) Brown, Holly Brown, Kirsten Lewis and nephew Clayton Hanson.
