She was born on the family farm in Merle Community in Burleson County, near Snook, Texas, on October 22, 1931. Her parents were Frederick “Fred” Wilhelm Schoenemann and Annie Alvina Phillip Schoenemann. Mary was one of 10 children. Her siblings were, Lois Elaine Hronek, Lola Maxine Kraft, Willie Mae Sherwood, Roy Fred Schoenemann, Dorothy Lee Price, Velma Faye “Sissy” Wilkins, Donald “Donnie” Eugene Schoenemann, Floyd Edward Schoenemann and Clyde Allen Schoenemann, along with being a loving sister-in-law to their spouses. She went to school and graduated from Snook High School. She met Vincent Mule’ while with friends at Cook’s Hoe Down in Houston, Texas. They married on July 22, 1954, and they settled on Pike Road in Stafford, Texas for their 67 years of marriage. She married into a family with lots of cousins, and had the joy of two brother- in-laws and sister-in- laws; Frank & Otelia “Tille” Mulle and Gus & Pat Mule’, who were so close to her.
Mary worked at Cangelosi’s grocery store for many years, where she enjoyed working around other people. Her full-time job, though, was being a farmer’s wife for 50+years. She volunteered at Pennywise Resale Shop for many years where she made many friends and enjoyed shopping herself!
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, crocheting, puzzling, reading, volunteering, and saying the Rosary. She had such a love for babies and children that she enjoyed spending time with the MANY nieces and nephews, as well as great- nieces and great -nephews. She even had several great- great nieces and great-great nephews. For obvious reasons, she was chosen as Godmother to the children of some family and friends. It would be remiss if I didn’t mention her best friends Geraldine Biamonte and Bessie Falsone, whom she had such a special bond with, as well as MANY others!
Mary was very involved with their parish Holy Family Catholic Church where she worked the bread line with Sr. Carmen, helped bake cookies for the St. Joseph table every March, crocheted dresses for the doll booth at the church bazaars, was an outstanding member of the Altar Society, and even donated, with the family, the adoration Monstrance at Holy Family.
