Mary Lucille Gamez

Mary “Lucy” Gamez, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2017 while napping in her favorite chair. Lucy was born in Powder Springs, Georgia and moved to Houston, Texas when she married her husband of 51 years, Robert C. Gamez, Jr. Lucy was an involved member of the Catholic Church and worked for the Diocese of Galveston-Houston until her retirement in 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Gamez, Jr.; parents, Amos and Clara Lewis; son, Allynne Gamez; and daughter, Madeline Morris. Lucy is survived by her son, John Gamez; daughter, Michelle Luna (Eugene); 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held for Lucy on Tuesday, March 21st, at 3:00 PM, at Earthman Southwest Chapel, Stafford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G.
