Margaret Elizabeth Peterson

She was born in Lyford, Texas, on December 28, 1932, Margaret spent her childhood in the Rio Grande Valley, married the love of her life, John, and moved to various Air Force Bases before settling in Houston in 1965. There she raised three children and adored spending time with her four grandchildren.

Margaret began her career in Houston at Gillman Pontiac and ultimately retired from Equifax in 1995. She was a community volunteer, helping raise money for local charities and spending countless hours at her kids' schools and her church. She loved to travel, whether to cheer on a child or grandchild at a sporting or school event or on a wonderful getaway with Johnny to Hawaii. She was loved by all who met her and always had a kind word to say.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Erick Warner and Gertrude Pearson, and her brother, Charles Pearson. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John D. Peterson; her daughter, Diane Jensen and her husband Eric of Maunaloa, Hawaii; her son, Scott Peterson and his wife Joy of Houston, Texas; her daughter, Lisa Powers and her husband John of Buford, Georgia; her grandsons, Travis Peterson of Houston, Texas, Tyler Peterson of Houston, Texas, Robert Powers and his wife Robin of Gainesville, Georgia, and Lauren Powers of Buford, Georgia, her sister-in-law, Paddy Pearson and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
