Survived by his wife of 58 years, Elida Arredondo Troutman; sons, James Doyle Troutman, Jr. (Kristina), Christopher Anthony Troutman (Delois), Keith Lawrence Troutman (Heidi). Brother, Elliott Richard Troutman (Ernestina); grandchildren, Verlyn Lee King (Karen), Alexander Lawrence Troutman, Austin Sinclaire Troutman, Rebecca Joann Troutman, James Davis Troutman; great grandson, Jaiden Christopher King. Nieces, Laurel Ferri (Gary), Suzanne Taylor (William); Nephew, Leslie Sigmon (Angela) and the girls, Jasmin Mireles and Marina Heckert.
Jimmie attended Smith Elementary, Crockett Elementary, Sacred Heart Catholic School, Central Catholic High School, San Antonio, College and University of Houston.
He was employed by Kelly AFB 1951-1953, U S Post Office 1953-1967, and Internal Revenue Service 1967-1988, served two years in the US ARMY 1953-1955, retired in December 1988. He became and enrolled agent 1989 and assisted in resolving many tax issues for taxpayers who requested his help.
Volunteered at Crockett Elementary, Houston ISD from 1974-2012.
Volunteered as Coach for CYO baseball, little league baseball, pony baseball, colt baseball and Palomino baseball; his Palomino Baseball Team won the 1982 World Series Championship in 1982 at West Covina, California. Epitaph: “I Tried To Always Do My Best for Everyone.”
Services will be at St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church, 11027 S. Gessner, Houston, TX on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, with Rosary at 10:30 A.M with Mass immediately following. Interment to follow at Houston National Cemetery.
