Although I didn't know Ed very long. You would have thought we knew each other our whole lives.  From the beginning. Ed and I hit it off. We could talk and enjoy each other's company. And sometimes talk smack to each other. Ed was a kind soul. He didn't ask for anything but was always grateful if you did something for him. He was generous and giving. He was funny but he never got loud. I will always remember and keep him in my heart. Ed was true.

I haven’t seen ant Eddie in a few years. But he was always stoic. Have great advice and was a wonderful person. Great basketball player and even better coworker. Rest peacefully Mr Eddie.

Hello to all! Turner Family, Friends and Home Depot Family! 

I want to send my sincere condolences and prayers to the entire family. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time with Mr. Ed, as the Store Manager at Home Depot. 

I remember the first day meeting Mr. Ed, when I transferred to 566 Home Depot Store.  I introduced myself and shared my expectations as the New Store Manager and for a veteran of 22 years with Home Depot, he embraced the words I shared. Which is not normal reaction coming from someone that’s been with Home Depot longer. I gained so much respect for Mr. Ed. 

Mr. Ed was working overnight and the workload is very intense. I asked Mr. Ed, “How do you maintain the energy to work overnight and execute your workload at a high level”?. He simply replied, “I was raised to give it my all in anything I do and I don’t know any other way”!  I said, “Man keep it up and you give me a reason not to ever complain”! 

I always told Mr. Ed, I wish I look as good as him when I’m in my 60s! 

I will continue to Pray for everyone, as we face the healing process. 

Never question Gods plan and continue to allow God to guide us as he guided Mr. Ed! 

Thank you God, for allowing Mr. Ed to share his time with us on earth. We are thankful for your grace and mercy! 

On behalf of our Home Depot family we again extend our sincere condolences to the family.  We will continue to keep you all lifted in prayer. 

A precious one from us is gone a brother we loved is still, a place is vacant in our hearts which can never be filled. His body was tired, he stood the test the Lord has taken his home to rest, his work here on earth was done. I met Ed at moms house. He was such a nice generous man. We went to eat and he picked up the tab for all of us, He gave the waitress cash and when she came back with his change, Ed told her to keep it, I don’t know how much he gave her but the waitress came back and asked him again if he was sure. He told her yes, that she deserved it. He really made her feel good.  That’s the kind of loving and caring person he was. We’re gonna miss him RIp Ed. 

You will forever be miss by your 2 beautiful daughters that you love and raise. You always raise us to be strong, well spoken and stand our own ground. We love you so much and it’s hard to see you go. Your 3 grandsons Terrence, Taurean, T’Marion will continue to know the history of you. And Your bonus granddaughter Kaleayah will forever love and cherish you, and I’m so happy that my mom and you continue to be best of friends and y’all raise us the women that we are. Eddie James Turner 
He is a father of 5 children and a grandfather. He was born in Mississippi. He started his career at Home Depot 22 years ago. He lived in Chicago until 06/2000 when he transferred to store 0566 where he worked in Lumber as a pack down associate.  Never before have I seen an employee so dedicated, hard-working, and yet still tenacious at the same time. You were the inspiration to all of us! I met Eddie Turner at the Home Depot and started seeing each other. On 10/15/2015 we were married and started our life together. I believe made him very happy. He would call me his stress-
free wife. I had the privilege of meeting his 
daughter Lakyra when Ed's mom was I'll in 
Arkansas we were able to spend 9 days with Ed's 
mom I saw the love his mom had for Ed and the 
happiness they shared.  We spend some time with 
Ed's brother and his sisters. On 05/25/22 we drove 
to Clarksdale Ms for Ed's mom's funeral on 
05/28/22 while in Mississippi I had the pleasure of meeting Ed's family five brothers and five sisters. The family was very happy and surprised to see Ed there. It was a memorable week. Ed has worked under Kadel, there was nothing Kadel would ask of Ed he wouldn't do. As for what I saw Ed and Kadel have a good working relationship. Ed's passion was his work and his loyalty was remarkable. He was loved by many and admire by most. He would advise associates to stay in school and work with a company that had a pension, which was something he regretted. Ed in the 22 years he worked at the Home Depot was never written up or had any variances.  Eddie James Turner manages to go above and beyond for every project accomplished. Eddie James Turner, you will be missed. 


Mr.Ed I'm so use to you walking into room and I still look for u to walk into the break room. I still even find myself look down towards lumber.I feel ur spirit in the building except ur not where we can see u but I know ur not in lost & found. We all know ur in heaven watching over us @ the Homedepot. U will be and is truely miss. Rest easy Mr. Ed 🙏🏾💐🙏🏾. Condolences to Mary Turner & family.

Wow the sadness in this is beyond and my heart goes out... I worked w Eddie in homedepot what an amazing person so giving and would do anything he was asked. I spent whiles talking to him as he worked and I the ASM he was so such an amazing soul Heaven has gain an Angel

To Mr.Ed and his family. I am truly sorry for your loss. Im an old employee who used to work with Mr.Ed at Home Depot and he was truly a nice guy. He once showed me how to operate the forklift at Home Depot and I won’t forget that.
