Charles S. Richardson

Charles received his early education in Texarkana, Texas. He attended Wiley College where he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He left school to pursue his career in the Army.He served in the U.S. Army for twenty years. He retired as a Lt. Colonel. After retiring from the Army he worked as a supervisor for AT&T (Pacific Bell) Phone Company for many years.

Charles was married to La Joie Richardson in January 1966. They enjoyed 53 years in a loving marriage and a lifetime of extensive traveling.

Charles passed away August 1, 2021. Preceding his death is his wife La Joie Richardson and Daughter Bettye Richardson. He is survived by his beloved daughter La Joie Thompson; Son Charles “Chuckie” Richardson (wife Antoinette); Granddaughters Edythe Williams and La Joie Monique Wilson; Grandson Jeremy Richard Wilson (Wife Toni); Great-Grandchildren Jamel Ri’chard Wilson, Caleb Alexander Wilson, Priest Levi Wilson, Maryyah Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

A visitation for Charles will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood, Stafford, TX 77477.
