Robert James Strauser "Limo Bob", 62, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on November 19, 2020. Born on June 16, 1958 in Waukegan, IL and resided in various parts of the Chicagoland suburbs, Hickory Hills & Justice. He later relocated to his dream state of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence & Sandra Strauser and brother, Jimmy Strauser. Robert is survived by his wife, Christi Strauser; daughter, Jennifer Strauser; son, Robert Strauser Jr.; grandson, Vincent Soto-Strauser; stepdaughter, Jennifer Addis; stepson, Derrick Addis; stepgrandson, Emerson Addis; former wife, Maureen Strauser; brother, Lawrence Strauser; brother Jack Strauser; sister, Deborah Poche; sister Sam Strauser.
Robert Strauser was a loving husband, father & papa who was charismatic and larger than life. Anyone that knew him would describe him as one-in-a-million. Limo Bob had a heart and neck of gold. He loved his friends and family tremendously and made sure everyone knew of it. He was a legend in the world of limousines and was known as the Limo King; a true life of the party. He would always say "What Elvis was to rock and roll, Limo Bob was to the limo industry." Two time Guinness world record holder for the longest and most exotic limousines, he was featured worldwide in various platforms including his own self titled reality TV show, a feature film, and dozens of news and television appearances.
Robert James Strauser left a lasting impression and will always remain in our minds and forever in our hearts. "Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart & smile with me. God wanted me now... he set me free." Much Love.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 from 9-11am at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Ave. St. Pete Beach, FL 33706. Funeral Mass will follow at noon at St John Vianney Catholic Church, 445 82nd Ave, St Pete Beach. Bob will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
