John L Montgomery III

John L. Montgomery, 72, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away March 23, 2020. He was born December 10, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA. John taught Sunday School, worked with youth groups and with boys Awana program at Northside Baptist Church, taught Sunday School and worked with youth group at Barrington Baptist Church in Barrington, Rhode Island; taught Sunday School and worked with youth group at Galilee Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado; worked with youth group at Lincoln Park Baptist Church in Lincoln Park, Michigan. He was a draftsman in several engineering offices in St. Petersburg, Florida and Denver, Colorado; Director of Christian Education and Youth in Lincoln Park, Michigan; House Parent at Center Academy and at Cookson Hills; sales associate at Berean Christian Stores. He has a two-year Technical Drafting degree from St. Pete. Vocational Tech School; BS in Youth Ministry from Barrington College and Masters in Christian Education from Denver Seminary.

John is preceded in death by John L. Montgomery II and Jane Warwick Montgomery. He is survived by Karen Montgomery, spouse; Andrew Montgomery, son; grandchildren, Jeremiah Montgomery and Anabelle Montgomery; sister, Jo Montgomery (Chuck), and many beloved nieces and nephews.
