Holland, Edward “English Ed”, 58 of Tierra Verde passed away March 29th, 2020 at Palms of Pasadena in the Intensive Care Unit. Born in London, England, Ed moved to the United States in 1984. He lived in Massachusetts and New Jersey until 1995, when he moved to Tierra Verde. Edward is survived by his wife Kimberly Holland; daughters, Emmalee Holland and Caroline Vesely; grandchild: Jackson Vesely and expected grandchild: Parker Vesely.
Edward was a brilliant self-made entrepreneur, who had a passion for life, friends and family. His intelligence and business savvy were surpassed by his humility, thoughtfulness and compassion. His sparkling blue eyes, contagious warm smile, disarming humor and warm welcoming demeanor will always be remembered by those who met him. He used his gourmet culinary talents and excellent golf skills to bring comfort and joy, to friends and family. He knew so many people by their name that he was nicknamed the ‘Mayor of Tierra Verde’.
Edward started his career in London holding senior positions at CNA Re. He then moved to the United States and joined the multi-billon run-off company, American Centennial. He would become the Executive Vice President of Forensic Audit & Litigation Support where he led many high-valued domestic and international cases. Recently he became a founding partner of the HMR Group. HMR Group is a start-up software company that provides automated solutions in the insurance sector. Edward was a major contributor to the concept and design of this innovative software application.
