Shannon passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 10th, 2023. Preceded in death by her father, Randy Kaar. Survived by her 2 daughters, Ashley and Makayla Kaar, mother Ann Kaar, brother Shawn Kaar, niece Kaia Kaar, nephew Kaden Kaar, aunt LouAnn Kaar, and cousin Devin (Naomi) Kaar, along with other relatives and friends.
Shannon graduated from high school, later attending Century College. She began her career in the food industry, continuing on to work with seniors as a certified nursing assistant. She also did modeling, and held various reception and clerical positions. Shannon was very knowledgeable on the computer and could repair many of them. Like her father, she had a great passion for animals of any kind. There were several times where we transported animals to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for care. It didn't matter if it was a squirrel, a rabbit, or a bird. If they had a chance, we were on our way. Shannon had a big heart for anyone in need. She was always looking out for those that were less fortunate than her, whether it be giving food, clothing, money, or just to lend an ear or a shoulder. She enjoyed helping others. Shannon was a kind, caring, and loving person.
She enjoyed making things with her hands, such as Christmas ornaments and rosaries. Her favorite pastimes were listening to music, coloring, writing, doing henna, and spending time with family (especially her 2 daughters) and friends. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her silly grin, and the laughter that went along with it. Shannon will be greatly missed by many. Though our hearts are heavy, let us remember her for who she was, and may we find comfort knowing that she is now in a better place.
Please join us for her Celebration of Life at Wulff Funeral Home on Friday, January 27th from 4-7PM. A light meal will be served with refreshments while we share and rejoice in the honor of her memory.
