It has taken me awhile to be able to read these entries and to be able to sit and write one myself.  I thought time would make it easier, but it hasn't.  Grandma, you have no idea how much I miss you already!  A few of my favorite memories that will always make me smile:  buying bags of Jelly Beans and then trying to guess the flavors before eating them, strawberry and apple picking, making Shake-n-Bake chicken with you, using your old hairdryer cap, sleeping underneath the Christmas tree with you in sleeping bags, riding in a taxi to the mall for lunch and shopping, making cookies, trying to unwrap the ribbons on birthday and Christmas presents that you tied SO TIGHTLY, watching you hold each of my three sons and seeing how much you instantly loved them, decorating Easter eggs and the huge baskets you would bring us each year, the "care packages" you regularly sent to college, and our weekly phone calls.  There are so many more! I was truly blessed to have you as a grandmother! Thank you for all of your warm hugs and smiles, for calling me "Honey", and for always loving me.

Dear Jim and Family:

I am so very sorry for your loss and for not making the visitation but as I explained to Pat on the phone the lower disc in my back (calicifications) were crushed and pinching the nerve going into my leg and I had no relief until yesterday when I received steroid injections.  I can't begin to tell you all how sorry I was to hear of your loss, Midge touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with.  Until the day I die I will always remember her calling our house to let me know she was making her famous meatloaf and would I like to come over and mix it for her and of course I would run up the alley to your house all excited!  She truly loved her family and her friends was certainly a shining star to all of us.  I know she will be watching over all of you and taking good care of you as she always did.  I know how difficult this is to all of you but you have to keep the faith and know that the day will come when you can think of her with smiles rather than tears and all of the wonderful memories you have!  All of you will be remembered in my daily thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. I also have wonderful memories growing up in this supportive, beautiful neighborhood family. 

Her beautiful smile and sweet laughter hold a special place in my heart. So many of us were blessed with her love every time we stopped in at Tom Thumb and during the many years of birthday/cookie club luncheons!

We feel very lucky to have had Midge as  our neighbor! She was a wonderful friend who was always just on the other side of the fence. I will dearly miss our garden watering chats! We love Midge and will always cherish our memories of her!

I will always remember Margaret with appreciation. As a young girl, I remember she would always send candy and other goodies down with Pat & Steve to the farm for myself and my sister. We weren't blessed with such luxuries, and we always looked forward to the wonderful things she would send us. I am sure it was just a little gesture to her, and she had no idea how much they always meant to us. That was her way, always giving and kind....and always a smile on her face. RIP Margaret!

Our most sincere sympathy to Jim, Stephen, Daniel and all the family on the death of Midge.  She was such a very sweet and kind lady who was so pleasant to visit with and even though we did not visit often enough, we still were very fond of her.  Weather permitting, we hope to make it to her funeral but wanted to extend our deepest sympathy now too....God Bless.

We are so sorry to hear about Midge's passing.  She was such a sweet lady and had a beautiful smile.  Hold tight to all the wonderful memories you shared with her.  Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

We were so very saddened to hear of Midge's death.  Although we did not personally know Midge, we are sure she was a truly wonderful person because she has such a wonderful, kind and thoughtful son and daughter-in-law.  Please know you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.  Love and hugs.

I never could have chosen a better mother-in-law than Margaret. 

  I will feel her presence in....

   the warmth of the sun,
   the soft touch of a gentle breeze,
   the soothing sound of flowing water,
   the gentleness of a spring rain,
   the beauty of a flower,
   the scent of freshly cut grass,
   the peaceful quiet of nature,
   and our liking for lemon pie!

The deep dedication to family and unending,unconditional love shared will continue to be virtues we will keep close to heart.
