Kenneth J. Martin

Passed away Thursday at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was a native and longtime resident of Minnesota and moved to Statesboro in 2001. Mr. Martin was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He retired from Great Northern Railroad after 45 years of service as a switchman. He enjoyed archery, bowling, and was an avid Georgia Southern Eagles baseball fan. Survivors include his Wife, Jo Ann Martin of Statesboro; Children, Jeff Martin of Duluth, MN, Janine Hughes of Milam, TX, Janette Short of Vancouver, WA, Jim Martin of Forest Lake, MN, and Jerry Martin of St. Paul Park, MN; Three Step-Sons; Ten Grandchildren, Twelve Great-Grandchildren; Two Sisters, Dorothy Chatterton and Mary Nelson of Minnesota. Visitation will be held 4-6 PM with Funeral Service at 6 PM, Thursday, 5/2/13 at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul, MN. Graveside services and burial will be held 11:30 AM Friday 5/3/13 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Mpls. MN, assembly area 2.
