Lawrence Dauphine Sr

SAINT MARTINVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Lawrence Dauphine, Sr., age 75. at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. Reverend Jason Mouton will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 8:30 am until the service time. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am.

Born in St. Martinville on May 19, 1945 to the late Henry and Myrta Roseberry Dauphine, Lawrence was one of 6 children. He enjoyed the simple life of country living. Lawrence like being outdoors and taking care of his yard. He was always outside tinkering with and repairing lawnmowers and cars. Lawrence also enjoyed talking on his CB Radio. His handle was “Civil Fox” and the first thing he would do in the morning was to turn on the CB. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Lawrence will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Hazel Wiltz Dauphine; sons, Jason Dauphine, Sr., Joseph Dauphine (Pam), Calvin Dauphine (Morgana), Kelley Dauphine Dauphine (Sandy), and Lawrence Dauphine, Jr.; daughters, Rachael Queen, Pamela Alexander (Matthew Jr.), and Annette Dauphine; half-brother, Francis Dubois (Mary Anne); grandchildren, Corey Albert, Matiew Alexander, III., Melena Alexander, Harley Dauphine, Megan Dauphine, Calvin Dauphine, Jr., Ryan Dauphine, Amber Dauphine, Molly Dauphine, Jason Dauphine, Jr., Kaitlyn Dauphine, Destiny Dauphine and Aubrey Dauphine; and great grandchildren; Alaia Alexander, Carter Albert, Collin Albert, Claire Albert and Chloee' Albert.

He is preceded in death by parents, Henry and Myrta Dauphine; and sisters, Ethel New, Lorraine Touchet, Nattie Darby, Lillian Dauphine, and Jane Dauphine.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Dauphine, Jr., Jason Dauphine, Joseph Dauphine, Calvin Dauphine, Kelley Dauphine, and Matthew Alexander.
