Jerry Theriot, a native and lifelong resident of Catahoula, will be dearly missed and remembered for his love for life and for the best homemade biscuits around. Many family and friends were treated to his biscuits and coffee at his home. Jerry was a commercial fisherman and true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, the beauty of nature, and the simple things in life. But his greatest love was for his family and his grandchildren whom he adored.
Those surviving him are his children, Chad Theriot and wife Maddie, Shyra Holcomb and husband Michael and Josh Theriot and wife Wendy all of Catahoula; his grandchildren, Beau, Aja, Cutler, Sierra, Damion, Mackenzie and Kelsey; five great grandchildren; and his sister Peggy Verret.
He was preceded by his wife, Doris Olivier Theriot; and his brothers and sisters, Russell, Antoine and Jimmy Theriot, Betty Mason and Jan Olivier.
A memorial mass will be announced at a later date for all to celebrate his life.
