Beloved husband of the late Norma J. Carriker (nee Schaffer); dear father of Wallace L. Carriker Jr. and Jane M. (Charles F. Stubbers) Carriker; dear brother of the late Peggy J. Somers; dear uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend.
Wallace was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and also served in the Naval Reserves. He was an avid sportsman and a member of the Greeley Group.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the USO of Missouri, American Parkinsons Disease Association or charity of your choice.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa at Watson, on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. The interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation: Tuesday, March 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at www.hoffmeistercolonial.com.
