Virginia Pauline Swinford

Swinford, Virginia Pauline (nee Klein) passed away on March 27, 2016 at the Somerby Memory Care Center in Peachtree City, Georgia. Virginia (Ginny) was born on June 14, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to Michael A. and Marie L. (Vogelgesang) Klein. She was the 8th of 9 children.

Ginny married Martin E. Swinford on August 21, 1950 in St Louis, Missouri. After WWII, they fell in love and a blessed family began.

She is survived by her two children; son Jim (Laura) Swinford of Palatine, Illinois, and daughter Susan (Kent) Mundschenk of Fayetteville, Georgia. She was the proud grandmother of 4; Chris, Nick, Jenny & Karen, and one great grandson, Christopher Michael. She is also survived by one sister, Dorothy (George) Seper of St Louis, Missouri, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, the love of her life.

Visitation at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa at Watson, St. Louis 63109, on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 10-11a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
