Todd was the loving husband of Julie A. (nee Voss) Waelterman; loud and proud dad of Bret, Kyle, Erica, Ryan, and Jamie; cherished son of Joy Waelterman and the late James Waelterman; dear brother of Chris Waelterman and Curt Waelterman; dear brother-in-law of Donna (the late Rodney) Mahnesmith, Mary (Don) Hagedorn, Perry Voss, Garry Voss, Mike Voss, Roger (Kim) Voss, and Tim (Sarah) Voss; a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to countless people in his lifetime.
Todd was born in Saint Louis, and attended Lindbergh High School. He earned his BA in Civil Engineering at UM-Rolla, and worked for many decades for the City of Saint Louis. Todd was an active member of the Marine Corps League 183. He loved boating and his time spent on water with his family. He enjoyed working in the garage on cars and fixing up the house. He spent many happy hours with his friends. Todd was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals, and the St. Louis Blues. It was very important for him to teach his kids and their friends the importance of a good work ethic, and how to have fun. "Work hard, play harder."
He was very proud of his kids and their accomplishments, and would share their achievements with anyone who would listen.
Todd was happy, generous, supportive, loving, outgoing, creative, a problem-solver, and confident. The party didn't start until Todd got there. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
You had to see Todd to know him and once you did, you never forgot him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Todd's memory to the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association), the Shriners Hospital for Children/St. Louis, or The Marine Corps League 183 would be greatly appreciated by his family.
