Stanley B. Dveris

Stanley Bernard Dveris born August 22, 1929, passed away peacefully at age 95 on March 24, 2025. He was the son of Joseph and Rose (Chused) Dveris and brother of the late Harold (the late Mary) Dveris.

Stan is survived by his cherished wife of 35 years, Bobbi, and his loving children Scott (Debra) Dveris, Steve Dveris, and stepson Daniel (Melissa) Klein. He was a proud grandfather to Darian and Dana Dveris, and Lily and Adam Klein. Stan’s love extended to his nieces and nephews. He shared a special bond with his caregiver and friend, Deborah Robinson.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Stan was a gifted athlete and natural leader. He served as captain of the football team at Cleveland High School, and was later drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. Although an injury ended his baseball career early, his passion for sports endured. He enjoyed following professional baseball, tennis, golf, hockey, basketball and soccer, and spent many happy hours playing tennis, golf and bridge with Bobbi and other couples.

In 1955, Stan began a successful career as a custom home builder, contributing to the growth of suburban St. Louis. He developed beautiful homes and neighborhoods, including the home where he and Bobbi hosted countless joyful gatherings. Stan’s leadership and commitment earned him recognition within the industry, serving as an active and respected member of organizations such as the HBA, NAHB, HBI-PAC, HBIAF, and HOW.

Beyond his career, Stan led a vibrant and fulfilling life. As a model who retained his good looks, he accepted compliments with grace and humility, knowing that his true legacy was the love and joy he brought to others, especially to Bobbi, the love of his life. Together they lit up a dance floor, traveled the world, and built many lasting memories .

Stan’s radiant smile and charming personality endeared him to all who knew him. He was a natural communicator and compassionate listener, always ready to offer wisdom and comfort. His kindness, integrity, and generosity defined his character. His big, heartfelt hugs and gentle presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
