Shirley F. Matthews

Surviving Shirley is her loving husband of 46 years Danny Matthews. Also surviving are her beloved daughters Sheila (Randy) Lovelady, Beverly (Don) Willis, Theresa Beck and Diana (Steve) Erhard. Shirley was the dear stepmother of Karen (Tom) Hahn, Cheryle (Clay) Frenzel, Danny (Jeannie) Matthews and Debby Matthews. She was the loving sister of Audrey Warner, Burlie Warner, Elva Cole and Velva Hargraves. Shirley was the beloved grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 17.

Her parents Wesley Warner and Freda Warner (nee Kent); her sister Neomi Warner; sister Redis Borah and brother Lloyd Warner preceded Shirley in death.

Shirley worked as a legal secretary to Edward Schneider for over 30 years. She had a love for music and an amazing singing voice. She was in Gospel groups throughout the years, the latest being The King’s Children. They devoted their time to music ministry for the elderly.

A visitation for Shirley is from 12 pm to 5pm, Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, Saint Louis, MO 63125. The funeral service is at 9 am, Monday, December 14, 2020 at Hoffmeister South County Chapel. Interment is private at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
