Ruth Ann Atchley

Ruth Ann Atchley, age 85, of Arnold, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Ruth was born July 2, 1937 to Earl and Irene (nee Phillips) Acey who have preceded her in death along with her beloved husband, Jack “Jackie” Atchley.

Ruth is survived by her children; Linda (Denny) Pollard, Angie (Alan) Olmsted, Jeff (Karla) Atchley, and Marsha (Tony) Russo. She was a loving grandma to Amanda (Matt) Pace, Brittany Pollard, Shannon (Zac) Turnbow, Sean (Elise) Olmsted, Shane Olmsted, Erica Atchley, Miranda (Doug) Martinez, Trevor (Nicole) Atchley, and Ryan and Jarrod Russo. Ruth was great-grandmother to Gavin, Alexis, Peyton, Gabrielle, Lexi, Brooklyn, Sophia, Myla, and Jaxon.

Ruth was dedicated to her family and found joy in being surrounded by them. She was a devoted to her faith. Ruth enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, “Everybody loves Raymond”, and anything that had Andy Griffith as the lead character. She was an animal lover and through the years she cared for many sweet dogs. Ruth also had a sweet tooth, and anytime someone traveled they had returned with some delicious fudge.

A visitation for Ruth will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM. Ruth will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.
