Rose Marie Borghi (nee Novara), fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.
At 96 years old, Rose Marie was a radiant presence whose generous spirit, courageous heart, and unconditional love touched the lives of everyone she met.
The adored wife of the late Frank C. Borghi, Rose Marie was the cherished mother of Carolyn (Kelly) Carbery, Bette Borghi, Chuck (Linda Ruzicka) Borghi, Terese Borghi, Tony Borghi, Frank J. Borghi, and John (Susie) Borghi. She was the devoted grandmother of 12, great-grandmother of 12, and great-great-grandmother of 2, all of whom were blessed to call her theirs.
Born September 2, 1928 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late Gaetano "Tony" Novara and Providenza "Pearl" (nee Mocca) Novara, Rose Marie was the treasured sister of JoAnn (Jack) Hanebrink and the aunt of four, and the late Sr. Mary Anthony, ASCJ (Benedetta "Betty" Novara). Her family roots and enduring bonds were central to her life, as was her unshakable faith and love for her community.
Rose Marie's life was a celebration of love and light. She had a beautiful smile that lit up every room, a charismatic personality, and a welcoming nature that made everyone feel like family. Whether hosting big Sunday dinners or offering a kind word and a listening ear, Rose Marie embodied grace and acceptance. Her family considers it the greatest honor to have had her as their mother, grandmother, and matriarch.
A devout woman, Rose Marie was an angel on earth who united her family through her selflessness and devotion to God. Now reunited with her loving husband Frank, she continues to watch over her family with the same unwavering care and love she shared during her life.
