I am very sad about learning Bob has passed. We worked together for Ralston Purina, starting in 1976, and became good friends. I worked in Oklahoma City and Bob, in St. Louis. We always sent Christmas cards & birthday cards to each other, for all these years. I got his Christmas card back & it made me worry. So, so sad, he was a great friend. I will miss him. Bob was so enthusiastic about the Hearing Loss Assoc Chapter's walks and other activities.  He was planning our 2012 walk when he died.  He was a driving force in getting movies captioned for the hard of hearing in St. Louis and always kept us informed of what was showing.    He will be missed very much. After retirement, I got to know Bob through various golf affiliations.  He was a unique man who loved life and Diet Coke to the fullest.  I can see him equally pleased with his drive down the middle or the 20 balls he found during the round!  He was a good friend and stiff competitor...whatever the game.

He will be missed but not forgotten.  Bob and his family are in my thoughts and prayers

Bob and I played semi-pro baseball against each other in our early twenties and we later developed a lasting friendship through golf at Purina over 30 years.

We often shared a golf cart and had a lot of laughs and good times together. I can still envision Bob off the fairway hunting for extra balls in the weeds after an infrequent errant shot. He was usually right down the middle. It was sometimes hard to get him back into the cart while he was hunting for balls.  He loved to do it.

Bob was a great guy and a loyal friend.
He will be missed by many.

Bob was known to us since we moved in the Lindbergh Place Villas in November 2005. He was our next door neighbor. He was a very joyful, bubbly, and always cheerful person. It was a pleasure to converse with him anywhere we met. He was a kind and gentle person. We will miss him forever.

Bob was a good man and strong advocate for the deaf and hard of hearing.  I always enjoyed our interaction and respected and valued his insight concerning a total access solution for the deaf and hard of hearing to the movie going experience.  He will be missed but not forgotten.

It was my pleasure to know Bob for many years and to especially play golf with him.  I will always be looking for him in my mind as I continue to play the courses our group frequented with him. I was blessed to know Bob for over 30 years through his daughter, Julie.  
I knew Bob to be amazingly scheduled: I recall seeing a to-do list on his fridge that included both a "projected" and "actual" completion date. That impressed me.  Still does. 
He also welcomed me as a kid into activities he was doing with his family. . . selling pretzels downtown? Sure, Jane, you can come along! 

A few other things I love about Bob: He always told it like it was.  He didn't seem to sugar coat things.  And he made a mean chicken taco salad. 

I know I will miss Bob. But even more important, I am better for having known him.

Bob's almost childlike enthusiasm and zest for life be it personally or professionally along with his genuine concern for his fellow human beings set a great example for all of humanity. Bob was such a great guy, who was so active in everything he touched.  He was a big plus to the HLA-GSL Chapter and a great Chairman for the Chapter's "Walk 4 Hearing".  He had a gift of making everyone feel very comfortable around him.  I along with many others will miss him very much.  My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.

I knew Bob Foster from Round Table Representatives-Captioned Media (RTR-CM) which he and I were involved with it in our deaf community. Bob is someone who I never forget of his sincerest kindess and always wants to help other people. I was fortunate in getting to know Bob as I will always remembered his tirelessly efforts for RTR-CM and to his deaf community and endless of friends.  

I wanted to send my fullest, sincerest condolences & sympathy to Robert Foster's family.

This world was a better place because of Bob Foster... He will be missed by his loving family, many many friends, and countless people that benefited from his genuine concern and generosity. May God Bless the Foster family and extended Family.

 Bob was more than just a brother in law to me.  He was a friend.  Kind, generous, competitive and friendly are all words that come to mind when I think about him.  When I was just a child, he taught me how to play better basketball, golf, baseball and of course, ping pong in my basement.  I loved to go and watch him play Ban Johnson Baseball with his Dad and Grandfather and his best friend, Chubby Williams.
When I was an adult working at Ralston Purina, Bob quit Shell Oil Company and came to work at Ralston so he could be in St. Louis and I was grateful to be able to be closer to him and have more regular contact with him.

I will miss him.
