He was born Richard Fred Frick, in Denver, CO on February 21, 1953 and passed away in Dallas, TX on January 28, 2014.
Rich was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Ochs Mazzie and step-mother Carole Ann Frick.
He is survived by his father Paul Frick; son Jon Frick and wife, Nicole; daughters: Tobi Schwab and husband, Chad; Erin Cain and fiancé, Adrian Beard; Lindsey Zipoy and husband, Nathan.
The grandchildren who filled Papa’s heart with love, joy and pride – Dylan, Kaimani, Miya, Skylar, Kayden, Scout, Marli, Kennedy, and Gavin.
He is also survived by his sisters: Paula Frick, Marilyn Zehentner, Sandra Battles, Patti Templeton and husband Dennis. Brothers: Ron Frick and wife Katherine; Vince Mazzie, John Frick and wife Nancy. Rich was a beloved Son, Brother, Father, Papa, Uncle, Great-Uncle, Cousin, Nephew, and a friend to many.
He leaves us with many memories, all heartfelt and memorable. Rich was ONE OF A KIND! A story-teller first and foremost, he lived to make us laugh. A sense of humor helps us to get through the dull times, enjoy the good times and cope with the difficult times. We've all lost someone very special, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis 63125, on Tuesday, April 1st at 12:00 pm. Interment immediately follows at St. Trinity’s Cemetery, 2160 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO. There will be a reception following the interment at the Vineyards Clubhouse at 756 Napa Ln, St Charles, MO 63304.
Rich lived life fully and honorably. He expected the same from all who knew him. To honor his legacy, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Great Missouri & Southern Illinois Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 50 Crestwood Executive Center, #405, St Louis, MO 63126.
