Nam Thi Nguyen was born in Tac Van, Ca Mau, Viet Nam on December 31, 1937. Beloved daughter of De Thi Ngo and Den van Nguyen. Beloved wife of her late husband, Phi Thoai Ly, beloved mother of her daughter, Nhi Yen Ly and her husband, Hoa Tien Yn ; son, Luong Quoc Ly and his wife, Oanh Ngoc Banh; son, Ken Ly and his wife, Sang Tuyet Thi Nguyen and a devoted grandmother of Benjamin Yn, Winston Yn, Juliana Ly and Ava Ly.
Nam had an unwavering faith in Buddhism. She was a member of a local Buddhist Temple. Over the year, she has become very involved with the temple and assisted of numerous events.
Nam truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures: cooking, taking care of her family, and chatting on the phone with friends. She will be forever remembered by her loving family and friends
