Born and raised in San Juan Puerto Rico, Merida Garcia Soto de Pinela moved to St. Louis in 1999. Died peacefully June 11. Widow, homemaker and stay-at-home mom, she was a hard worker and lover of life. At 90, she loved to sing, dance and give hugs generously. She is survived by son Gilverto Pinela, his pet and loving family. Services 10 am Monday at St. Cecelia Catholic Church.
