Mary Jane Steffan (nee Volpo), fortified with the sacrament of the Holy Mother Church, passed away Thursday 07 May 2020. Dear wife of the late Louis H. Steffan, Jr. Dear daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Volpo, Sister of the late Joseph and the late John Volpo. Daughter in law of the late Louis and Dora Steffan, Sister in law of the late Charlotte Steffan and the late Helen Volpo

Beloved Aunt to Sue (Steve Stockmann) Bockstruck, John (Jody) Volpo, Rick (Lisa) Volpo, and Donna (Derin) Rominger; best Great Aunt of Stephanie (Doug), Joe (Shannon), Chris, Zach, Adam, Tim and Andrew; great, great Aunt of Paisley. She was also a loving cousin and friend to many.

“Mary Jane was the best Aunt and Great Aunt to all of us, she was full of energy and spunk who we loved dearly. She brought so much joy and laughter to each of us throughout her 97 wonderful years here on earth. Rest in Peace Aunt Jane! - Give a big hug to Uncle Lou too!”

Mary Jane was a member of St. Mathias the Apostle Catholic Church, a past member of the St. Anthony's (Mercy South) Auxiliary and a volunteer in the hospital's craft department.

Funeral services have been handled by Hoffmeister South County Chapel. Burial was at Park Lawn Cemetery. A celebration of life tribute will be scheduled at a later date.
