Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Kramer, 67, passed away late on the evening of January 4, 2024. One of six children, she was born December 7, 1956, to Peggy and Walter Kramer. Betsy is survived by her husband, Phil; her children, Paul (Danielle), Claire (Abigayle), and Shelley; her grandchild, River; and a cat, Violet.
Betsy was an ambitious, outgoing, and playful character. A St. Louis native, Betsy first attended Incarnate Word Academy and later at Saint Louis University. Her later years were filled with spending time with family and friends, traveling, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. She enjoyed quilting, walking, cycling, good music, and good beer.
Betsy was diagnosed with dementia in 2018, but continued to enjoy life. Despite health challenges, Betsy was known by all for her silly, lighthearted demeanor and deep emotional connection to those she held close. She was the type of person who made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
A memorial gathering for Betsy will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kriegshauser Mortuary-West Chapel, 9450 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63132.
