Mary Lou was the beloved wife of the late Jean Bollinger; loving mother of Frank (Anne) Bollinger and Andrew (Nicole Osheroff) Bollinger; cherished grandmother of Angela (Michael) Biggerstaff, Emily Bollinger, and Andrew Bollinger; devoted great-grandmother of Magnolia Jean Biggerstaff and Henry Biggerstaff; and a dear friend to many in her lifetime.
Mary Lou was born in Maplewood, Missouri and attended McKinley High School. She married Jean on December 26, 1959 and together they raised their two sons across from Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Church, a parish that was very dear to her heart.
Mary Lou was a very intelligent person, and up until a few weeks before her passing she was still completing the New York Times crossword puzzle. She had a great sense of humor. She read the newspaper every day, and checked the obituaries first. She was always somewhat disappointed if there wasn't anyone in there she knew. She was an avid sports fan, especially for the St. Louis Cardinals. She and Jean opened their house and hearts to their mothers, and a dear uncle, who lived with them until their passings. She was a faithful Catholic and attended Mass regularly until the end.
A special thank you to St. Ambrose, the Sick and Elderly Program of The Hill, and the good people at Mary, Queen and Mother Center for their excellent care.
