Included Mark's name on the remembrance list at Lutheran Church of the Master last Sunday, All Saints Day.  His name was read aloud followed by a bell among many others read of family and friends.  At the end of the service, When the Saints Go Marching In was played/sung, an appropriate tribute to a loyal St. Louis Blues fan.

I love that Mark took such good care of his wife and my friend,  Betsy. May God rest his soul.


Mark was my friend for almost forty years. He loved life and lived it with intensity. Whether work, play, charitable activities, sports, or just general enjoyment it was always with wonderful intensity.
He loved his family and friends with the same intensity and always brought us all into the things he loved. 
He would say, "Blues hockey is great, come to a game with me you will love it." We did and he was right.  " Our Burgandy wine group is wonderful, come with me you will love it." I did and he was right. 
The list goes on and on. Thank you, Mark. You will be missed but not forgotten.

I had the pleasure of working with Mark for many years at PwC. When I went through my own cancer diagnosis 20+ years ago, I will never forget Mark’s thoughtfulness and support along my journey.  He was truly such caring person.   My prayers and sympathies go out to Betsy and the entire Dow family during this difficult time.

I am a childhood schoolmate of Mark’s and I am so very sad to learn of his passing!
He & I attended Wayne Elem, Arthur Jr High and Denby High Schools together. Mark was one of the male/boy group that 
today I still cherish & reflect upon, having fun & great memories together. 
Going back now 50-60 years (!) Mark was “that kid in the classroom” that always provided a good laugh & mischief which kids enjoyed & teachers would frown upon!

So sorry to hear about the passing of Mark. I know he fought a courageous battle.  I enjoyed his presence at R&R and playing golf with him at Bellerive. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. 

I met Mark the week I began work at PwC. I had spent my whole career at another accounting firm and really didn't know anyone at PwC.  Mark came into my office, introduced himself and welcomed me to the partnership. Through the years Mark would take me to lunch, invite me to sporting events, entertain Laurie and I at his home, and continued to offer his friendship and support. Mark was direct and wouldn't hesitate to tell it like it is, but once you got to know him you began to realize he was really a big, softie at heart. While Mark's interest in all the "good things" life had to offer is well documented, his love of Betsy and his children, and his deep loyalty to friends is what I will remember most. I will miss his wry smile and dry sense of humor. Mark truly epitomized what it meant to be a partner, husband, father, brother and friend.  May his memory be a blessing.

Sherry and I offer our condolences to Betsy. Mark was a unique character able to handle my brother Russ which is no small task This is a big blow to Russ and to all of us. Mark had the same type of cancer that one of my childhood buddies had and it’s tough stuff I’m glad that his suffering is now over we will miss him. Larry and Sherry Hornsby

Mark lived life fully including his love for wine, exotic sports cars, St Louis sports, and golf.  So happy I was able to know and share a business venture as partners at PwC.  He will be missed by all of us.

My first memory of Mark is when he came by to see his granddaughters, Lilly & Grace. His face lit up the second the girls ran to him. You could tell they meant so much to him, and to be called grandpa made his day each and every day. Mark was nothing short of kind, witty, intelligent and hopeful.

My deepest sympathy to the family!  I worked with Mark at PwC and always enjoyed his love for colorful sweaters and ties…and giving him a little trouble over a few of them!  He was a man with a huge heart.

We had so many fun times together with "the boys" during their years at Andrews Academy.  We are so very sorry for the loss of Mark.  When we think of Mark, we remember how much he loved his Corvettes - and remember he had a bright yellow Corvette.
